I specialise in permanent recruitment in the publishing and events sectors - both consumer and B2B products, across all disciplines. I'm equally adept at finding designers for award-winning design titles, incisive journalists for finance & business-information journals, go-getting sales stars, strategic marketers, and super-efficient production-admin types. I recruit at all levels: I put the same ammount of time and energy into an entry-level telesales assignment as I do for a seasoned sales-manager role. Actually, the former can often be more challenging!
What can you expect from me?
As clients, your brief will be taken seriously - your requirements will be well matched by the candidates supplied to you - no time wasting CV's! I don't play a 'numbers game': I take the time to understand a complex or highly specific assignment and find candidates with the required niche skillset.
I also interview candidates myself, by telephone and in person before you meet them. I'm usually available outside of normal office hours, and can, therefore, interview candidates at times when they can speak comfortably and freely. I prefer to meet clients at their business premises at the start of an assignment in order to get a feel for your work culture and a better understanding of your 'person spec'. Feedback between candidates and clients is relayed promptly and honestly - candidates are briefed thoroughly and supported throughout the recruitment process.
My terms and conditions are simply structured. All assignments are undertaken on a 'no win no fee' basis. I charge a flat rate of 15% of the candidate's remuneration for their first year of employment. I do not include benefits, car allowances or any other extras when calculating the fee. A replacement or refund structure is offered for twelve weeks from the candidate's start date.
Overall, my aims are simple: to genuinely match the requirements of both clients and candidates, to do this efficiently and to work within terms of business that are both fair and transparent.
